Lighten up this summer at the Dr Pepper Museum! Do you know the original name of Diet 7Up? Or, what country consumes the most diet soda products per capita? (hint: it’s not the U.S.!). Come find the answers to these questions and learn more about your favorite soda’s low-cal version at the Dr Pepper Museum’s new exhibit, The Skinny on Diet Drinks.

Opening June 28, 2008, The Skinny on Diet Drinks explores the history behind some of the most beloved diet soft drinks, such as early favorite Diet Rite and cult classic Tab, with its iconic pink can. Also, visitors will learn about the different forms of artificial sweeteners and why they are hotly debated.

Each Friday afternoon in July you can try the drinks yourself! At 2pm there will be a blind taste test to find out which diet soda really is most like their original with the Dr Pepper Museum’s Diet Soda Taste Challenge. Who knows, you might even become a diet soda convert… Cans from the exhibit
